Hey, so last February I was brought in to work on the new Brüno movie - on a recommendation from Ruben Fleischer. Coincidentally, Sacha Baron Cohen was a huge fan of the Diesel XXX viral. There’s a music video-ish scene at the end, and I co-directed a handful of shots. We also shot some green screen stuff which unfortunately got cut. But- I can’t feel bad. They basically made a 5 hour movie (which I’ve seen) and cut it down into 82 minutes. It’s amazing, when i saw the cut in February I don’t think I had ever laughed so hard. I had to sign all these confidentiality agreements, so I of course haven’t mentioned anything until now. I’m still not sure what the policy is on photos so use your imagination on the above snapshot. Anyway, go see the movie, then look for my name in the credits.
Ich bin so excited to see Brüno tomorrow, if only to imagine Keith directing Brüno to feel up Ron Paul. Keith, you gotta get me a copy of that 5-hour director’s cut.
