Booksellers at the Sunday market - their books covered the entire space of the street allotted to them, such that they had to walk on the books (with barefeet of course) to reach them for the customers. Jecca was looking for memoirs of Pondicherrean people, particularly of Aurovilleans. Most of the books were popular fiction (lots in Tamil) or science textbooks.
