A video about taxi drivers’ struggles to organize for fair regulation of their industry in LA. My friend Noah is featured at the end of this video. He was a taxi driver in LA for five years and helped organize the Taxi Drivers Association - over 5000 drivers who lack basic employee rights (OSHA, unions) because the government classifies them as ‘self-employed’, which lets the taxi companies exploit them mercilessly. For a more in-depth view of this issue, see this report from the UCLA Institute of Industrial Relations.
