Watching the sunset over Death Valley - with 11k foot, snow-capped peaks in the background, ‘manly’ peak and golden canyon badlands in midground, and my geography friends in foreground (Ilona, David, Brook, Sri, and Ozan). Sitting here, meditating on the rich colors and forms at every depth of field, was the longest I’d contemplated a landscape in years. (See more of my Death Valley pics here.)
